Working with Ari was like working with an old friend. We love having her as a part of our birth story and our lives. She’s generous and caring and we can’t speak highly enough of her! The hospital staff also loved working with her. Our doctor even suggested we name our new daughter Ari (or Lavender, after the calming room spray she used). She has a loving, positive demeanor to everything she does, while still being assertive, making sure I had absolutely everything I needed. We had such a good time together. Our birth was actually fun! Ari kept both my husband and I stress free so we could be ourselves and focus on what we were doing there, bringing our new baby into the world!
My wife’s labor experience was just about 2 days long. You can imagine how someone would feel physically and emotionally. Her labor was HARD. With Ari’s support she made the experience positive and up-lifting. I’ll go as far as to say that I don’t think we could have survived without her. She was a key to our success. She stepped in when I couldn’t. She gave continuous support in the aspect of labor. She helped with techniques and different positions. But most importantly she helped with support. I would give Ari my stamp of recommendation to anyone that is seeking knowledge and support during their pregnancy.
When I met Ari I asked her to be our doula on the spot because I loved her vibe and personality. I was so grateful to have Ari at the birth, because I felt comforted and supported the entire time. Ari helped me advocate for myself and supported the decisions I made. She suggested different positions that were really helpful for both my comfort and progress. She helped me breastfeed immediately after birth and started off my breastfeeding journey with confidence. Ari is a CLC and it’s very helpful to have her observe and problem solve with you. I am so glad we went with Ari as our doula. We had such a wonderful experience with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.
Ari was essential in the birth of our baby. She was very responsive throughout my pregnancy, and she was incredible in the hospital. My son's birth was very intense; I was induced because of preeclampsia and went through 42 hours of labor, the induction failed, and I needed an emergency C-section. Ari held my hand during some of the worst contractions and really advocated for me with the doctors when they were skeptical of my requests.
Ari continues to be a source of support for us even months after our baby arrived. She helped adjust his latch and gave me great tips about breastfeeding, and she worked with me to get our apartment organized before my return to work. We were so lucky to find her--and are so lucky to have her in our lives!
